Forestry That Benefits You
Our successes ensure healthy forests for today and tomorrow - providing clean air and water, vibrant communities and safe living spaces.
Through partnerships with federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations and landowners we are able to promote the best practices for responsibly managing our urban and rural forest resources. These include management practices such as thinning forests to reduce the threats from catastrophic wildfire and utilizing renewable forest resources to promote economic vitality and forest sustainability.
The following stories come from around the Western U.S. and the Pacific Islands. They are diverse in geography, ecology and culture. Yet they all illustrate the shared mission of promoting forest management that serves the values of society and ensures the health and sustainability of western forests.
